Allison Johnson has an extensive national and international background in human relations and equal opportunity management consulting and training. She is the founder of the Lee Johnson Group. Growing people and building better relationships are her passion.
She has over two decades of experience working to eliminate equal opportunity biases and has represented the Department of Defense, U.S. State Department and the Department of Army on numerous occasions at home and abroad.
A few of the Countries she has consulted with include South Africa, Burundi, Canada, Japan, Romania and Russia. As president of the Lee Johnson Group, she has conducted training for over 14,000+ workshop participants in the past fifteen years, in organizations such as Bell Atlantic, Amoco, Prudential, Monsanto, Cingular, UAW-Ford, UAW-Visteon, FBI, CIA, FDIC, FRA, DOJ, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP, Department of Transportation, Export-Import Bank, and the National Society for Human Resource Management. A few of the classes she has taught in the past include Leadership, Team Building, Personal Growth and Talent Development, Communications, DiSC® Behavioral Styles, Change, Attitudes, Stress and Time Management, Work Expectations, Innovation, Delegation, Planning, Coaching, Professionalism, Personal Excellence, Goal Setting, Presentation Skills, Equal Employment Opportunity and courses in Race Relations, Diversity, Prevention of Sexual Harassment, and Gender Dynamics. As a skilled “train the trainer” facilitator, she has over 680 hours in small group dynamics.
She is a former Director of International Affairs for the Department of Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute and a former faculty member for the Anti-Defamation League’s, A World of Difference® Institute. Allison has served in two adjunct professor positions. She has taught Communications and General Studies at the University of Phoenix, “on ground” Campus in Northern Virginia and Human Relations for the Department of Psychology at the Northern Virginia Community College, Alexandria Campus.
Allison holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland, a Master of Human Relations degree from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Arts in Religion (with honors) from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Trinity International University, Deerfield, Illinois. She holds certificates from Harvard University Division of Continuing Education professional development program for Managing Yourself and Leading Others and the University of Notre Dame, Center for Ethics and Culture, Vita Institute. Allison is a certified Equal Employment Opportunity Counselor and Investigator, former Dale Carnegie Instructor/Facilitator, and INDRA assessment trainer/facilitator (a DiSC® assessment tool which examines in-depth relationship dynamics). Allison has served Dale Carnegie® Digital as a certified Dale Carnegie Live Online facilitator. She is qualified to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and holds an advanced certificate in Professional Life Coaching and Leadership Coaching with the American Association of Christian Counselors. She was recently certified as a John Maxwell Speaker, Coach, and Trainer.
Allison is often asked to speak about success, professionalism, and motivation because of her dynamic personality, high-energy training sessions, and her “never quit attitude.” She is extremely proud to have served as a Department of Defense Cadre Speaker for the Yellow Ribbon Program; a program designed to reintegrate Reserve and National Guard service members returning, in most cases, from the war.
